Do you remember how you reacted to the media report of 15 year-old Greta Thunberg and her classmates who sat in the front of the Swedish parliament every school day for three weeks to protest lack of action on the climate crisis in 2018? I remember how moved I was by her speech at the United Nations Climate Action Summit in 2019 where she said, "You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you?" Her messages went viral with postings on both Instagram and
Twitter. Greta became a media magnet for nearly two years.
It's now 2022. What has happened with that social movement? I will have to admit that I'd lost track of it. Thanks to Earth.org, I found out.
