Stress Busters for Environmental Leaders

Bam! How Feelings Affect Your Body and Water Resources

Dr. Masaru Emoto’s book, Messages from Water, discusses an experiment he conducted on water molecules. According to his research, water molecules are influenced by the energy emanating from emotions. To test his hypothesis, Dr. Emoto instructed school children to speak negatively to one jar of water by saying, “I hate you, bad water!” and positively to another jar of water by saying, “I love you, good water!” over several days. Subsequently, he froze the water to observe the effect on the molecules. Given that the human body is made up of approximately 60% water, it is worth considering how our thoughts and feelings, whether directed at ourselves or others, impact physical well-being.

#Given this evidence, how could your feelings impact the work you are doing to protect water resources?
